THORNEHOUSE DESIGN

Open & Refined

Charlottetown, PE

This kitchen remodel completely transformed a once compartmentalized 1980’s home that was defined by multiple sunken floor levels and closed-off rooms. By levelling the floors throughout and removing several key interior walls, the main living area now feels dramatically larger, brighter, and far more connected than before. The design balances warmth and timelessness through the use of painted perimeter cabinetry in a soft, light greige tone that adds subtle depth without feeling heavy. At the centre of the space, a beautiful white oak kitchen island grounds the room with natural texture and warmth, creating a striking focal point that pairs effortlessly with the clean lines, layered neutrals, and refined finishes throughout the kitchen.
